3 Must-Have Ways To Level-Up Your Circle of Influence

Entrepreneurship is a pretty lonely gig. It’s hard to find people who understand what you’re doing and push you to expand your vision to be a better person, entrepreneur, community leader, and creator.

Regardless of your level of success, it will be challenging to find people who understand what you’re trying to do in the world.

So make it a goal to surround yourself with quality people who empower you, call you out when you lose focus, and give you amazing advice when you need it.

#1 GO WHEREVER YOUR PEOPLE HANG OUT

Attend events, whether it’s local, virtual, or international. The best way is to check out where you can attend and see people in real life and then start building those relationships. 

While virtual events make it accessible for everyone to meet new people, nothing beats that 1:1 face time.

So use your judgement and hold yourself accountable to meeting people in real time.

#2 BUILD THE RELATIONSHIP

As soon as you find a few peeps who you jive with, suggest a follow-up to get to know them better. 
Whether it’s a call, a Zoom meet up or an in-person coffee shop hang out, investing time in furthering the relationship is a must.

The important thing, is getting to know other creators, entrepreneurs or leaders who are a couple of steps ahead of you.

And just start becoming their friend.

If you’re shy, or need a less-intrusive strategy, hit them on social media.
DM (direct message) them or talk to them just a couple of times a week.

Make it known that you appreciate what they’re doing in the world and start building that relationship.

Comment on their content, watch their videos, leave them a review on their podcasts or just become a loyal student (if that applies and makes sense). 

The point here is to stay in touch and build the relationship over time.

#3 JOIN A MASTERMIND

 If you’ve never been a part of a mastermind, I highly recommend that you make it a goal to join one before the end of the quarter.

Free masterminds like ours are a fantastic start but make it a point to join a paid mastermind group as soon as you can.

Being a part of paid masterminds means there’s a higher barrier to entry, and that means you will have access to higher-quality people in a natural setting that will encourage relationships and connection.

Remember, people who are willing to pay top dollar to be a part of a mastermind are doing meaningful things in the world and earning handsomely as a result.

Those are the kind of folks you want around.

BONUS: INVITE PEOPLE ON YOUR SHOW

Inviting people to guest on your podcast or YouTube channel is a phenomenal way to meet high-level friends and enhance your circle of influence.

I can’t think of a better icebreaker or a cooler way to provide value first to a potential business pal.
